What is the School Council?
a means for children to raise issues and concerns
a means to consult all pupils
When do meetings take place?
Usually once a week.
How do children raise issues?
Tell their class representative who will raise their point at the next meeting.
How do children find out about the work of the School Council?
Class representatives report back to their classes
Updates will be given during
'School Council' assemblies.
Active Kids Vouchers
Our School Council would
like to say a big "Thank You"
for collecting Sainsbury's
Active Kids Vouchers before
the Summer holidays. We
collected, counted and
submitted over 4000 vouchers. A delivery of new sporting equipment (footballs and skipping ropes) and some gardening equipment has arrived and was presented to our Leader of Sport, Mr Bainbridge, by members of the School Council in assembly this week.
Playing the tunes and serving the food...
School Councillors can always be relied upon to provide help and support around school and our regular discos are no exception. From DJ's to food servers and general helpers, members of the School Council teamed up with 'Friends of Bernard Gilpin' to ensure that the KS1 & KS2 discos were a massive hit.
