Year 1 - Locomotive Museum

In conjunction with our history topic of 'Transport', Year 1 visited the Locomotive Museum to learn about the life and achievements of George Stephenson. The children explored a range of artefacts including models, tools, medals and miners’ lamps, discovering how Stephenson helped to develop early railways. They also enjoyed an interactive tour of the railway collection, where they re-enacted the opening day of the railway.
