Educational Visits

Year 2 - Bamburgh

Year 2 recently enjoyed a memorable educational visit to Bamburgh, where they explored the inspiring story of local heroine Grace Darling. During their trip, the children visited the Grace Darling Museum, learning about her brave rescue at sea and what it would have been like to live in a Victorian lighthouse. They also spent time at St Aidan’s Church, where they saw the beautiful stained-glass window and effigy created in her memory. The visit brought their learning to life and helped deepen their understanding of this significant historical figure.
